We love our ideas. We hate to act upon it however it seems fascinating that our ideas are great that people might steal it. If you are thinking about making your ideas private then you might risk it more.
Your idea of new movie, song or invention is most likely to not happen in reality if you work in hiding. Many times people want to help you out, guide you and give feedback. This won’t happen if you don’t share the idea.
Yes, some people might take your idea and will try to impress others by passing it as their own. You necessarily don’t have to worry.
You need to show up, care for your idea and work upon it. The way you visioned it, having thoughts about it and the dedication you can bring to table is unique to you.
If you are trying to invent a machine which can stop air pollution, then the idea is already with thousands of scientist and environmentalist people. They haven’t done the work or still working. If you can provide some insights then share it and take feedback.
Most importantly work upon it. Don’t let your ideas be just ideas. Someone can steal your idea and start working upon it, that’s okay. Just stay focused and work to get that idea in practice. Only after it is something which people can use and benefit you need to think of protecting it.
Ideas Are Abundant
Almost all of us have them. It comes to us while we are walking, talking or watching cat videos. The essence is you might have a million dollar idea but are you willing to execute it.
Are you willing to go that extra mile, do the heavy lifting and stick for many years till it pans out. Are you willing to do this for many of your ideas until you succeed with one?
Most of us are afraid to commit for so long. Despite having the abundance of ideas, nothing comes out of it.
What we can do is share them with the world. Someone might pick it up and realize it and make million dollars. That is fine. Having an idea isn’t the new thing. Having to guts, momentum and drive to work upon it is the new thing.
Don’t be obsessive of your ideas. We tend to stick with them for too long and realize they were the bad ones. Instead share it and let the world guide, inform and help you. Keep updating your progress with the world. Once they see where you are going, the feedback will get more constructive.
On the other hand you can measure the effectiveness of your idea when you keep sharing it at intervals of time with the world.
You Steal Some Ideas
Yes, you read it right. Go ahead and find some cool ideas on the internet. Want to know some business ideas that works – there are many of them. Just Google them. The best thing about it is – anyone including you and me can take that idea and make a business around it.
The reality is not many people are doing it. Why?
Because it is hard. It takes time, dedication and passion. It is not something which you just do and succeed. There is no shortcut. There is a long path which is rough, challenging and filled with setbacks.
Maybe you will succeed, the chances are less. You might not know that unless you take the path. Fear keeps us from stealing an idea and working upon it.
Go ahead and try to invent an air purifier which solves pollution problem. If you can’t imagine doing that then you need not worry about your idea being stolen.
If your idea is mediocre and simple then probably everyone else have thought about it. If your idea is brilliant then it will be equally tough to pull it off that very few people will actually steal it.
Instead of being in a shell and worrying too much. Start the process and work on your idea.
