Often it happens that you suffer from the guilt feeling. For example, in a bus if you see an empty seat and there is another person standing then you offer that to them. This gesture is nice and you could do it but it enables an idea that you deserve less.
Think of it in this way – you are on a competition to win grand money. On the journey you realize your competitors are poorer than you and need that money. And you quit because you think they would use the money better. But you fail to realize about self. The reason why you joined the competition in the first place. You wanted to win that money and do something for self, right? When you let others win, you are letting yourself lose which is bad for the long-term projection.
I ain’t saying charity and helping others is bad. But if it is a fair competition then don’t back out because you feel emotional. Do you want to help others? Then help yourself first and then think of others. Never let others win out of sympathy, guilt feeling or to feel good about self.
Give your fierce competition and win the game. After that if you want to help others then offer them a job, advice or some investment. But don’t help others by hurting yourself by losing.
The Road To Something Big
It ain’t easy. And how you approach it decides the rest of the trajectory. You need to have the focus, drive and the gut to stay on the path even if it makes you uneasy.
Tough situations, decisions and nervousness are all the hurdles which comes when you aim for the big fish in the market. And along the way you will find yourself with the burden of results, your fear and the competition. But the willingness to put in the work and push ahead of the crowd is what will make you the success. Many people will fade out when you grow and that is the nature of the competition. It is good for everyone. Because it means they needed more work to put in and you have done the best work to deserve it. Getting clarity about the work or when to quit is a useful insight. It is easy to remodel your strategy early than to put in years to find it won’t work.
Think about self, work and get it. Only after that, think about others.
