Our habits define us. We tend to lose our calm and get angry. Often times we pick up bad habits quickly while good habits takes a while to even make sense.
You aren’t alone who feels the same way.
Good habits are tough and we reject things which seems to go upward the hill. We want an easy path, something to do which rewards fast and we ruin ourselves in the bargain.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You don’t need to become a saint to achieve more fulfillment in your work. You need to follow 2 habits which will make you a better person.
Don’t Be Angry
Yes…yes…it sounds like cliché and obvious. Yet so many people miss on this. If you get angry that is okay, if you lose your calm and react instantly it is not okay.
Whenever you get angry, give yourself time to cool down before you speak or act on anything. When your head is hot, you make all the wrong decision and sometimes relationships are broken or hampered.
Anger is the destructive phase which could be avoided by controlling it and putting yourself in others shoes and knowing their pain. Maybe…maybe go and take a nap and then come with your point.
The golden rule is
- Know everyone’s point
- Give yourself time to cool down
- Speak without raising your voice.
Don’t Be Sad
Instead work upon it and keep trying. Sometimes move on if your intuition says so. Things won’t turn out exactly as we want them. Whatever you try, be it relationship, your career or the resolution.
You will fail at many things.
Being sad is the easy way of dealing with it. Change and growth comes from doing something uncomfortable, something hard and something which challenges your mindset at times.
Are you willing to settle for low output and be sad or you want to take charge and try again with your learning’s.
You can do more, don’t settle.
Needless to say, practice is the key to master these habits. These tiny habits which are often over-looked and under-used are the pillars of your life.
