We love to get things done fast however we keep on doing the same routine and creep about it. Let’s change it. You don’t have to follow a book full of guidelines to be super productive. Follow this simple 3 tips to do more in life.
Time is a constraint, everyone has limited amount of it. If we want to be successful, we need to handle our time and do more than others. Wasting time is the biggest sin we can commit.
You can either read and ponder about it. Or read and action it one tip at a time. I want to challenge you to do the latter. Let’s dive into it.
1. Wake Up Early
I used to think, I am super active and capable of doing things late at night. Turns out, it ain’t true. Our brain is super fresh and active in the morning when we wake up.
Early mornings are the best for one simple reason. In the night our body is constantly fighting to get some rest. On the flip side, in the morning, our body is refreshed from all tiredness waiting to get some work done.
The first few things we do in the morning are the ones which should require intense haggling or creative. This is to make the best use of our brain.
As the time passes, we tend to get tired and our brain can’t focus much as it did in the early morning. Practice to wake up early and get important things done immediately.
2. Essential To Do List
Some of our work would have a daily frequency. For example, polishing the shoes or taking the dog out for a walk. Thinking what to wear for the office or watching music videos.
Things which are time waster and don’t add value should be cut totally. If you are unsure, abort some activities and check whether it impacts you in the long run or no.
Since you know these things would come daily, make it a point to automate it or outsource the work. This way you would have time for additional work which would be more productive and rewarding.
Hire a dog walker who don’t mind polishing shoes too. Depending upon your daily tasks, either make it in sync so it consumes less time or hire/ask someone else to do it.
3. Ask A Helping Hand
This tips has to do with our attitude. If we are stuck with a problem, we try to sort it out. Sometimes it takes us time so much that once we have finished it, a lot of time has been passed.
The satisfaction from doing it yourself is not worth the time spent. If you are not able to handle or understand something for about 20 minutes, it is in best interest to ask for a helping hand.
In every field or category, there are people who are expert. We are too, however we can’t be the expert in every field. Understanding this helps a lot in our behavior change.
There are things at which we are good at, other things which we are not. We need to accept it so we can optimize our life for a better productive.
The roadblock to success and new beginnings often lies in our attitude to let things stay the way it is. When we accept our faults and try to do more with a positive approach, it makes us a better person.
It all depends on your approach. New work and responsibilities will keep coming and you need to always handle it. With the above tips in mind, you can do more with your time.
